Classnet in conjunction with Healthy Active Australia have created a short film competition. The project is a peer to peer concept that aims to deliver positive messages about health and fitness through film and audio pieces.
The aim is to make short movie based around healthy eating and lifestyle activities. The films could be aired on Channel 31 through our two current C31 television shows called ClassTv and NexGenTvor they can be seen here on Classnet. June. It is our intention to use young people as creators of their own media in a positive way, and for them to research, explore and create the content.

The content will vary but in the main the segments will focus on:

• Profiling school kitchen gardens and healthy canteens
• Healthy eating including cooking segments
• What’s in your food
• Physical activities that are beneficial to young people
• Body image

Making kid friendly short community service announcements aimed at having an impact on young people’s thinking and attitude is another aspect that could be considered. In particular, we want to use only students as hosts, directors, producers and actors of each segment. We are interested in a lively and fun way of portraying healthy lifestyles by using students to educate each other.
The content must be in an audio/visual format and could take the form of video, animation or an audio radio piece.

About 1in1 Vitta Competition The 1in1 competition evolved from the 3in6 Competition after teachers and students recommended a solution to those schools who would not have immediate access to a video camera. There is a decrease in the time limit for mobile devices due to the limits of the technology. Join in the fun. 1in1 Video - 1 minute of video1in1 is a video competition for teams of school students. This is a small promotional video for classnet. We used a portable greenscreen and in post production put in a animation for overlaying onto the screen. We also added a royalty free music track and a voice over by a year 7 student.

If you are a teacher, student, community group leader or member then you need to sign up if you want to either upload content or view "private" content from a school or community group. The most important thing is to write down which school or community group you come from and what type of member you are! If you are a teacher or community group leader that is a first from a new school or commuunity group then after applying you must wait for approval by classnet admin. Once approved you will then become part of your own school's classnet adminstration.
